They have really good pizza, the dough is chewy with that delicious wood fired taste. Chicken Parmesan comes in a nice large portion. Their tomato sauce is on the chunky/watery side instead of a consistent puree, but it's flavorful. I recommend their lunch specials.

Upon arriving, I amazed with the atmosphere and the deco, the whole place gave old style Italian pizza shop with the wood pizza oven and the intimate lighting. After I took a sit, I was greeted with a smile and gave a menu. I picked some of my favorite food like BBQ wings, calamari and some fries. And soon enough the food came out, hot and smelling good. The calamari had that crunch and also the all the flavor that should be there. The wings I personally enjoyed because the sauce was sticky and sweet complimenting the meat that was tender and not chewy. Overall I enjoyed the whole experience because it was not too pricey and the checked all the box for me. I would totally recommend for any family dinner, date night or just a solo outing.

This area of town was missing a pizzeria Restaurant location. Upon arriving, the restaurant itself was welcoming, we sat (this place is self seated)down near an open window (where locals actually waved hi to us🤭, that was cool). We were quickly met by our server, my sister ordered the Greek salad with chicken-its a must try. I had the Beretta App with sliced tomatoes tomatoes, arugula minus the Prosciutto; that was OK. Overall IL Forno is a good spot to catch up with friends/family over some good quality food.

They have nice sized portions but the food is just okay. It took my party of 6 almost one hour to get our entrees. They also have no bread and no straws. There is also a discount if you pay cash.

Great pizza place, a nice ambiance, and lots of choices.
We ordered Napoli Pizza. The only complaint is not enough mozzarella cheese on the pizza and jalapeno was not cooked seems like just added on top. Great taste, good service.

My husband and I live in Dunellen and this is the first time trying this place - let me tell you…blown away. I want to add I can only give it four star because we didn’t eat inside we did pick up so the 4 star can change once we experience dining in. 🙂 but we ordered chicken bacon ranch pizza, pepporoni pizza and a cheesy bread. I have been looking for a gourmet style pizza and they hit the nail on the head with the chicken bacon ranch. It was divine. I’m not used to the crust being so different or the sauce but I liked the different style and the different taste to it. Both the pepperoni and the chicken bacon ranch. The pepperoni I wasn’t expecting to be large slices but I definitely enjoyed it this way. I’ll tell ya I’ll definitely be going back… I mean..would ya look at that?!

We recently celebrated our daughter’s first birthday at their Dunellen location. Absolutely enjoyed working with Robert from beginning to end. He made the process as simple as possible for me considering I have a hectic schedule. Robert was always communicating and flexible with my requests. Irma was amazing as our hostess on the day of the event. Our guests complimented how delicious the food was and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend this local gem for any special event. Thank you to Robert, Irma, & the Il Forno staff for helping make our event special.
