Randomly selected Arden for a solo dinner while on business and was pleasantly surprised with the impeccable execution. Ordered a la carte, but would do the prix fix next visit.

Nearly perfect meal; only mistake was a forgotten order, but food arrived so quickly that it was minor in the end. Fun to sit at the counter and watch the kitchen team, everyone looked very comfortable and nothing ever sat at the pass.

Wine recommendation well received, was never left alone for long, and I still can't stop thinking about the sensational squash sage pomegranate gnocchi.

Will definitely be back.

Really enjoyed my visit - sat at the bar as I was dining alone but didn't feel lonely with everything going on in the semi-open kitchen.

The prix fixe menu and wine pairing are the way to go, for sure. Amazing value!

I will say that while many seem to commend the wines, I felt that the wines for the pairing were fine but nothing to write home about. Maybe I was just saturated after several days of travel, maybe I'll find out next time life takes me to Portland.

Service was attentive and friendly, but them wearing masks (no judgement here) and with the background music and noise it was sometimes hard to understand them.

One of the best restaurants in the Pearl and NW 23rd. The food is great and the means has enough variety to choose from. The wine selection is impressive. Only thing missing is the table clothes which is a real rarity in this town. The services good too. I will definitely return this place in the near future.

Exceptionally fine food in an inviting unstuffy setting: we ordered the fixed price menu and were delighted with each gorgeous dish of seasonal creations. Careful attention is paid to fresh, beautiful, textural, and flavorful aspects of each dish. The server was attentive and present when appropriate. We left sated, satisfied, and look forward to returning!

Fabulous food and really amazing wines. Sat on the patio for my birthday dinner and enjoyed the prix fixe, which included a snack plate, four courses from the menu, and a dessert. I especially loved the smoked olives, the burrata with apricots and macadamia, and the spaghetti. I also really loved being able to sample the wines and find new treasures from local vineyards. The service was great and I appreciated how knowledgeable the staff was about the wines in particular. Overall, it was a great night and I look forward to returning.

what a classic and delicious date night spot! the chef’s prix fixe menu was the perfect amount of food for two people and all the food was stunning and fun and flavorful. they change their menu seasonally, but this go-around definitely don’t miss their spaghetti, pierogi, or asparagus dishes. i absolutely can’t wait to be back for their future menus!

If you're looking for a carefully curated, elevated yet relatively limited menu in a quaint space with excellent service, you have found the right spot.

A few apps; a few pastas, and a few entrees. That's what you'll find on any given night at Arden. On this particular night, I dined with two vegetarian friends, who did not have any issue finding tasty items on the menu. We started with melted leek and potato pierogies with chive creme fraiche, hot sauce and truffles. They were unique and absolutely delicious.

My friends opted for pasta dishes (eggplant cappelletti and spaghetti with dashi brown butter), while I dug into the grilled pork tenderloin atop polenta. I'm not sure what my friends talked about from the minute that dish hit my lips until the last bit of polenta was gone. It was...scrumptious.

For dessert we had a panna cotta with mint and blueberry, which was light and perfect. We also had another dish that I can't quite recall but pictured below. I think it was the chocolate miso caramel tart. It was certainly more decadent than the panna cotta, along the texture lines of a flourless cake (but perhaps someone from the restaurant can chime in to clarify what it was).

The service was spot on from the moment we arrived. We waited for nothing, and they struck the perfect balance of being just attentive enough without hovering. I'd return, without doubt.

I was pleased with the meal and service on the whole. My partner eats meat and I’m vegetarian but we were both able to enjoy a fantastic meal without compromising each other’s food preferences. Intense flavors, textures, colors, and aromas. Will consider coming back for another seasonal course.
